John Jenkins Designs - THE JACOBITE REBELLION - Lowland Infantry Attacking With Musket #1 from the Jacobite Rebellion 1745 military miniature collection. Military Collectible is limited to 500 pieces produced. Perfect toy soldier for any French English 7 Years War military diorama. Hand crafted Toy Soldier collectible.
This military miniature is based on the Battle of Culloden Moor from April 1746. Charles Stuart invaded England after being encouraged by King Louis XV of France. After gathering Catholic forces from Scotland Charles moved into England. When France did not deliver on their promise to provide 12000 troops to aide Charles and the English Catholics did not support his attempt at capturing the throne, Charles was forced to retreat to Scotland, pursued by the English. He made his stand at Culloden Moor, known as the Jacobite Rebellion, before fleeing back to France.
